In theory I was first, but in reality I was second.
It really doesn't matter anyway, for I had already accomplished what I've strived for.
Promises were made and promises were kept.
Above all, I’m the epitome of success and failure ravaged with bittersweet sentiments.

Pro!
The pro, Mr Goh Wei Hao

Not so pro!
The not-so-pro, Mr Koo Cheng Liang

What the...
It was fun playing pool with my classmates as well.
Plus Bernard, Xinhui and Andre from 08S05.

In all, it was a day to remember for as long as my conscience allows me.

In the end, I lie awake and I dream of making my escape.
The J1 orientation camp surely brought me ever so closer to that.

A special thanks to Amelia for being such a great and enthuasiatic partner.
Many, many thanks to 09S10 for being so supportive of the camp.
I love you guys (and girls)(this is for Zee!) so much!

Facebook

It's only my first day on Facebook and I already have 128 friends.
Hence by mathematical induction, Facebook is better than Friendster.

Urgh, I need to run faster...

Tksians

Background information:
All TKsians take the same subjects during lower sec.
After Sec 2 streaming exam, all students are streamed according to how they fared during that exam.
4A-4E are the Pure Science classes while 4F-4K are combined students.

Let’s look at some of the reasons why there are this many (40%) TKsians retaining:

1. Poor subject combination
Both Arts stream students retain.
All 08S34 students retain. 08S34 is known to be class where all the students take subjects
that are very different from one another.
They should take a tried and tested combination.

Case-in-point:
All 08S16 students promote.
All students who took 4H2 PCME at the start of the year promotes.
08S16’s subject combination: H2 Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. H1 Geography.
All students in TK take Geography, either Pure or as an elective, so it’s natural they’ll do well in it.

2. The subjects they take in secondary school does not prepare them for JC
(i) All 4F students retain..
The core subjects of 4F students are pure Literature and combined science.
They are not able to do well in the subjects they take in JC.
However, more data is needed to find out what subjects these students are compatible with.

(ii) More combined science students retain than pure science students.
As the bulk of the TK students are science streamed students, it is safe to say that pure science students fare better in JC because they have a more solid foundation in the science subjects.

Conclusion: If you’re from 4F, don’t come TPJC!
Choose a tried and tested subject combination. Don’t try to be unique.

I shall let the pictures do most of the talking for now.

Afternoon
Evening
It never gets old. Thank goodness it's near to so many places (but not TPJC).

Potatoes!
Self made fried potatoes marinated with black pepper powder and salt. Cooked to perfection by a potential househusband who loves to do house chores.

Chemistry
Roger
Roger. Supposed to be my partner in the HAT programme but I wasn't smart enough.

Track
Hmm...
Pictures of the school look ugly no matter how I take it.

High Speed
Shah was illegally racing on the track. By the way, I love this picture. Everything seems so cohesive even though most of it is blurred out.

Perfect Symmetry
Near Marine Parade Library, my former 3rd home. Its always windy here and I love it.

Lines
While lying down on the bench... and wondering how I would be like in a year's time. Other than that, there's nothing more to it. I'm just dreaming again and again...

OG22

OG 22, it was really nice knowing all of you. I seriously wish that we had more time together though but I'll be back again soon so don't worry. Many, many thanks to Amelia for being such an enthusiastic partner and for talking to them ALL the time.

Keyboard

They look like yummy dark chocolates and I'm waiting for the day till the labels wear off. Until then, I shall eat real chocolates. Valentine's Day is next week, so let's gear up for it people.

The essense of it,
I could feel it all around.

Keeping my head up
To see what it feels like now

This isn't the first time.
Everything I know, is not wrong.
Everything I do, won't come undone.
I could feel it go, with all the silver lining I could ever get.

I could feel it go
Sweetness I could taste in my mouth
Sweetness I could see with my eyes

And in confusion, confidence.
Give me heart and give me soul.
Just give it to me.
Give me real, don't give me fake.
And I ask, "Will I see heaven in mine?"

Nothing could be better
And nothing ever was

I can hear the impending rain coming.
But it's like a serenade of sound.
So I have no doubt.
Because soon enough, the sun will come out.

Driven to distraction
So part of the plan

Well at least I got a C grade for General Paper and a new microwave oven.
Baik Ali!
