Viva la Vida in EnglishI hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Viva la Vida in Chinese我 听 Jerusalem 钟 在 响
Roman Cavalry 唱诗班 在唱歌
做我的镜子,我的剑和盾
我的传教士在外国
有个原因我不可能解释
我知道Saint Peter不会叫我的名字
不会有诚实的词
但那时我已经统治世界
Wo-oh-oh-oh-oh
Wo-oh-oh-oh-oh...
--------------------------
Bloody amazing huh. But still, Coldplay aren't the greatest band in the world. No one beats the Arctic Monkeys.

(I'm sure Oasis will be as good as Coldplay in a weeks time.)

It all began with Speed Of Sound. Up to now, I perceive their style of music to be at a standard that is simply unrivalled by many. Music is an art, combining the perfect synchronisation of not only lyrics and melody, but also how our way of life is intertwined in it. I believe that they signify the apex of such a definition. Sweepingly atmospheric and elegant, I’ve never really met a band with songs that has closely epitomize the values and principles that I'm guided by.
Let's face it,
I SO FREAKING LOVE COLDPLAY TO THE CORE LAH!!!
The best birthday gift ever!!! By the way, It's from my mom and my first sister.

While waiting for the opening act by Mercury Rev, an American alternative rock band. Besides, it was my first time being at the indoor stadium AND a concert so all the merrier!

The sound console is made up of so many computers that it looked like a LAN shop!

The reason to why people don't stumble down the steps and die.

WOAH!!! Hearing the bass of a live performance in the indoor stadium for the first time was absolutely amazing! I wish I had such sound systems at home.

The Singapore Indoor Stadium is literally as big as my butt.

I don't really take pictures of myself often, but surely one wouldn't hurt

My heart kept on beating faster and faster even though I was just sitting still!!!

Ah finally! Life In Technicolor has always been the intro for their Viva La Vida Tour. It's a great upbeat instrumental that really brings people up to their feet. I was jumping by the way.

During Yellow! Those big yellow balloons would burst to reveal confetti in them!

Chris Martin burst one. A sure way of intensifying the crowd's excitement!

Lights will guide you home! And ignite your bones! And I will try to Fix You!

Absolutely amazing!

They were sitting, they were sitting on the Strawberry Swing. Every moment was so precious!

Perform closer to a crazy crowd and you will get an even crazier one.

I WAS SO FREAKING HIGH AT THIS POINT OF TIME!!!
I WAS SO FREAKING HIGH AT THIS POINT OF TIME!!!
I WAS SO FREAKING HIGH AT THIS POINT OF TIME!!!
I WAS SO FREAKING HIGH AT THIS POINT OF TIME!!!
Butterfly confetti during Lovers In Japan and yes, I managed to take some after the concert!

More butterflies!

And it kept on coming.
VIVA
LA
VIDA!!!
It was the encore and what better song to play other than The Scientist. Nobody said it was easy. Oh! It's such a shame for us to part! Ow woooh wowowowo!!!

The moment they started playing Life In Technicolor 2, my heart literally skipped a beat I swear. Oh love, don't let me go! Won't you take me where the street lights glow? I can hear rain coming, like a serenade of sound. Now my feet won't touch the ground!

My seat is the nearest to where I was standing while taking this. Not a bad view eh?
In all, enjoyment was aplenty even though I went alone. There is more gratification in attending my favorite band's concert knowing the lyrics to all their songs. But yet, I didn't have to force myself to memorize all the lyrics just like how some people do. It might be a tour to promote their latest album, but not all songs were from Viva La Vida anyway. Those who only listened to their latest album were merely clapping their hands in sync with the beat when other album's songs were in progress. I would deem such circumstances taboo with a band such as COLDPLAY.
And yes, what could ever be finer than the setlist of songs. Life In Technicolor was always the appetizer but Life In Techinicolor 2 being the last one left me emotionally shaken. Chris Martin is undoubtedly a great crowd entertainer just by himself. He even requested the crowd to commence a Kallang Wave of lights from our handphones and it was simply SPECTACULAR! Together with COLDPLAY as a band, illustrating them via words would only do them injustice. Hence, I deliberately used 42 pictures for this post, a tribute to Chris Martin's favourite number and coincidentally the answer to life, the universe and everything.
In chronological order:1. Life In Technicolor
2. Violet Hill
3. Clocks
4. In My Place
5. Yellow
6. Glass Of Water
7. Cemeteries Of London
8. 42
9. Fix You
10. Strawberry Swing
11. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face
12. Talk
13. The Hardest Part
14. Postcards From Far Away
15. Viva La Vida
16. Lost
17. Speed Of Sound
18. Death Will Never Conquer
19. Politik
20. I'm A Believer (Originally by The Monkees)
21. Lovers In Japan
22. Death And All His Friends
Encore:23. The Scientist
24. Life In Technicolor 2

Once again, I'm saving the best for last.
From the uplifting chorus of Fix You, the quiet aching of Chris Martin’s solo on The Hardest Part and the joyous celebratory mood of Strawberry Swing, there was no shortage of memorable moments in this concert. None though, could match the massive roar that shook the very foundations of the stadium when the intro of Viva La Vida was played. From the pseudo-military beat, the soaring chorus, to that oh-so-catchy “WO-OH-OOAAAAA” bridge, it was a song practically written with audiences in mind.
So powerful was Viva La Vida, that instead of merely clapping or shouting “Encore!”, the crowd actually chanted “WO-OH-OOAAAAA” to cajole the band out for the encore. In fact, nothing that came after it could quite match the high that it created; not the subsequent equally popular Lost, the concert closing Death And All His Friends, nor encores of The Scientist and Life In Technicolor 2. And even long after the concert had ended, that same chant was heard throughout the stadium grounds as the buzzing concert-goers relived that single magical moment. It might be over, but memories of 23rd March 2009, from 9:13pm to 11:01pm, has been permanently etched in my heart. Viva La Coldplay indeed.

MUSIC IS MY LIFE PEOPLE!
You know, being with 4E yesterday brought back so much memories than my brain literally crashed.
Without a doubt, I feel at home with them around.
Race To Witch Mountain at Marine Square, Pastamania at Parkway Parade and late night chatters at McCafe. I came home carrying a 5kg packet of washing detergent only to realise that we had changed little over the years. Even though I've never seen some of them for close to 2 years, meeting them again felt just like another day with your friends. Only this time, it felt
special.
A pillar at Suntec, something about it catches my attention. Maybe it's too smooth, just like my butt.

Moving on, I love Barney. He signify the epitome of gayness (happiness mind you) and hence, he has won my heart to become my true childhood hero.

Oh Barney, I hope you will always be there for me. Please don't go away just like how those stupid brothers of yours did 65 million years ago. On the other hand, Baby Bop and B.J. can seriously go and die.

We might be different in a few ways but at the end of the day, we combine to be the noisiest pair in school. You're a rainbow and I'm the colours that make you up. Without me, you're just another line in the sky. Without you, I'm just an uninteresting collection of colours. AWWWWWW!!!!!! =)

It challenges everything that you wished you never knew. If you were to take the other side, you would never be able to keep up despite all these happenings. But they have taken the other side and such actions really make little sense. Mundane boring topics about personal viewpoints, no one really cares!
There is this assumption that there is no such thing but the present situation is that I would really adore your non-existence. Certain elements can really impact the success of an icon and rest assured, you're not part of this. Besides, you're not even looking at the needs of others by being your ego-centric self.
Issues such as your personal identity are not even worth mentioning, for you have none. In fact, you're just another joke in my life, meaningless and without a reason. My alibis? They are actually your self-proclaimed friends and I wonder how they even know you in the first place.
The
practicality is just lacking, a result of your stupidity. It's basically the sense of pride that you have that really makes me want to turn away in unrivalled shock. Seriously, just come back and face the reality that you're really nothing more than just an utter waste of life.
This post is not directed at anyone because I just feel like writing something like this.

I'm finally 18 today.
In what can be described as
THE best month in my life so far, I'm still entranced in this state of overflowing bliss. In all, I really mean it when I say that words can't describe how I felt in the last few days leading up to this special day and not to forget the special day itself. Well, if only today would last forever...

To all my friends and family members who had graciously contributed to my happiness in the last few days and today, I just want to say a
BIG THANK YOU to every single one of you.
ME + MY FRIENDS + MY FAMILY MEMBERS = ALI

Coldplay - Viva La Vida in English
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
Missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd gone there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
Coldplay - Viva La Viva in MalaySaya dengar loceng Jerusalem berbunyi
Penyanyi kuda Roman bernyayi
Jadi cermin, padang dan perisai saya
Mubaligh-mubaligh dalam tanah asing
Untuk beberapa sebab saya tidak boleh terangkan
Apabila anda pergi ia tidak pernah
Tidak pernah ada perkataan jujur
Dan itu adalah apabila saya memerintah dunia
Melee - Built To Last in English
I've looked for love in stranger places
But never found someone like you
Someone whose smile makes me feel I've been holding back
And now there's nothing I can't do
'Cause this is real, and this is good
It warms the inside just like it should
But most of all it's built to last
Melee - Built To Last in MalaySaya telah mencari cinta dalam tempat-tempat asing
Tetapi paling banyak sekali ia terbina hingga akhir
What I've learnt today:
D for Malay but a distinction for oral. I can't write but I can speak WELL!
Never ask for a table for 6 even though SOMEONE else's favourite number is 6!

Yo! It's ONLY 4am now and I'm still awake! This must be due to the F&N Nutri Soy, Reduced Sugar, High Calcium, Cholesterol Free milk that I drank earlier. Besides, I savour the weekends as much as I savour the moments whenever I'm using the toilet. But you know what? March is finally here and it brings along with it loads of FUN and EXCITEMENT!!! No wonder it has always been my favourite month every year!
Events I'm looking forward to:1. School Holidays!2. MY 18TH BIRTHDAY!!3. Coldplay concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Moving on, let me introduce you to my 'office'.

Wow isn't it! Basically this is how it looks like at 4am in the morning, during the time when there is much amazing grace and serenity in my surroundings and therefore bringing about a state of pure tranquillity. Silence in itself uplifts peace, splendour, wonder, unparalleled bliss and casts a soothing aura upon me. But this is considering that the cats are not fighting at the void deck and MEOWING so louding as if they are giving birth every now and then.

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light, and glitter for me every night they always will. For without you I will fail. Fail miserably to see what the heck I'm typing. Maybe I might not even be typing at all, for the very fact that I can't even see my own hands.

At last, the moment will come and I will leave a happy man. You see the section coloured red? Well, that's where I'll be sitting. Singing the songs of my favourite artist up close and personal with them will be an experience forever etched in my mind. Maybe it might even be as exhilarating as receiving my O Level results, but I don't think I was singing when I was waiting for my results.

BUT THIS IS DA BOMB I TELL YOU!!! Nadira Nasha Bte Mohaidin Bin Hamid Sultan Bin Mohd ALI(!!!) is my new best friend!!! She's CRAZY(like me), SEXY(like me), COOL(like me also) and HOT(like me again, I THINK!). Above all, we both have DAM cool names LAH! She even read MY ENTIRE BLOG in about 40 minutes even though she was already supposed to be ASLEEP! You know, people always say that the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even be touched and that they must be felt with the heart. Today, I felt the genuine warmth and the friendliness of her. Although I'm one who LOVES to joke a lot, I must really say that I was emotionally touched, but not too touched to the point that I feel molested of course!
Okay I wanna sleep now, good morning!
